Has anyone loaded this on their Quest1 and tried it yet?

Is the screen refresh a lot slower and does it take an age to recalculate routes when you wander off them?

Yes.

No.

I've only used routing via the find function rather than a pre-programmed route but no problems so far. Seems just as quick as CS v6.

The map version does not influence the speed of the Quest 1. You are mixing this up with Quest 2 and its NT-map.

The NT-map in Quest 2 is compressed and it therefore takes a little longer in some situations for the Quest 2 to redraw.

Thanks for all the advice, put my mind at ease now. I'll load the maps up tonight for my trip next week

Mine seems to work at exactly the same speed it did before I upgraded to V8. I also upgraded the Quest software to V3.7 which did nothing to either add to or detract from the speed of the unit.
