Question re 2016 GSA Dynamic Esa

Hi all, I have recently purchased a 2016 GSA TE and was wondering if it was
Normal for the suspension to be hard almost solid when the bike is switched off ? When the bike is running the suspension is fine and goes up and down as it should?
It has Dynamic ESA. Cheers

As far as I can tell from 2017 it is esa 2 .
No auto fiction on mine .
I’m not sure what the difference is being dynamic?

I also had a 2016gs, but can't remember what that was like when it was shut down
