Well I fitted mine, kind of. I've only managed to snap the thin arm/clip off the housing

The whole process took 18 minutes, including removing the extended handguards. I couldn't get the long this clip/arm into the existing bit of the housing. No matter how much I tried it just wouldn't line up. When I tried to force it it just snapped
I'm now wondering if they'd sent the wrong part? So I now have 4 options.
1) Contact them and say the part didn't fit and ask for a new one. If they say it was the right one and I was being a numpty I may have to
2)Order a new casing (at a cost of 50 Euro inc postage

) and have a bit more patience fitting it.
3) Tape it up (which will look a pig), or glue it with some non-permanent glue (if there is such a thing? I'm assuming thread lock won't be OK to use on plastics?)
4) Take it off completely and go back to the original and try not to think about the £60 I've wasted
Also, the bit of plastic that the cable sits into had tool marks on it, making the edges where the cable sit slightly rough, will this cause excess wear on the cable?
One other question for those who have fitted it. Could you get the screw back in the housing when you'd finished? (this one?
I'm worried that there is a hole there now where rain and crud could get in there and foul up the throttle cable, or cause it to rust. What's the best way to plug it up and look nice cosmetically?
