JUst been to look at a 2006 GS

Dealer history from 2006 - 2010 & then independant up to 23K (bike has 24k)

All recalls done :) apart from stickers??

ABS is disconnected, but i can faintly see the red light flashing in the dash (4 times a sec??)

Almost as if the light has been pulled from its housing -- no biggy but both sensors and rings are still on the wheels

Big Q for me is the rear hub. what is the acceptable limit for play?

I grabbed the hub at 9 - 3 oclock and its solid no movement

at 12 - 6 oclock there is some play you can feel it, it guess its about 1mm but obviously,

the futther you are from the HUb, the bigger its going to seem / feel.

I have attached a couple of vids if that helps

other than that its a clean bike, a few bits of rust on the crash bars,

If the hub is deemed ok i may have a punt :)

1mm sounds about normal no worries. Hopefully, Mikey will be along to confirm.

Movement in the wheel bearing should be much the same all around. Maybe you are feeling some play in the suspension bearings.

i had similar movement also at six/twelve it was the pivot bearings ,easily replaced ,job sorted :thumb
