After my best mate gave up biking last winter i'd been at a loss for ridng buddy's this year and have'nt managed to get away, although ive been solo before it's more fun with a mate so a plan was hatched with two guy's from work who've started riding recently. We all live within 30 mins of the tunnel and a day release was granted for the one under the thumb.

I chose luxembourg as a destination as it's my fave within an easy days ride and a bit of an underrated place as far as biking is concerned i reckon.
I awoke to the alarm on friday morning at 04:50 for the train then thought what fe#@ing idiot decided to catch the early train.

Everyone turned up as planned and the train was boarded quickly
Al was on his er6 and jay on his fazer, first time for Al

We spent the the next 2 hours with pretty much no traffic in front of us and Al took a good inch off his chicken strips in glorious sunshine to lunch in bouillon where a belgian guy bought us a drink and kept us talking for a couple of hours.

Entering lux it was gettin dark due to our extended lunch and we hit some newly surfaced roads nicely topped with gravel, ok for me on the gs not so good for them. We finally arrived in vianden at 19:30 to a great hotel i'd booked
and were ushered straight into a cracking garage for the bikes by the very friendly owner. I would highly recommend this place http://www.auberge-du-chateau.lu/ 55euro's including brekky and free parking for the bikes. Dinner was washed down with a few beers supplied by the lovely polish barmaid. Next morning we arose late feeling delicate and checked out at 11:00 heading back towards spa and the ardenne. Hit the motorway at huy then blasted back to the tunnel. Much fun was had by all and easily do-able in 2 days
