Hi,
Anyone got a lead on where to find a quick action throttle for the R1150GS ? Mine needs big licks to get from shut to open, would really like something more sensitive - for road use as this is 99% of my riding.
Ta.

I've a fantastic item, but i'd be lost if i sold it, though they're fairly common place - it's called a wrist, they are amazing things, very flexable, and lots of other uses :D

And we all know how Steptoe keeps his wrist so flexible :D :D

I've never been offered a wrist before - are you sure it's legal?
Don't think so - beware, you may be awristed by the long arm of the law.

Is that why we're called Tossers?

Armstretching response

Kawasaki do one. It comes complete with a ZX10 attached.

Hang on in there Bin, I'm with you on this. It's pissed me off for ages on 1100 and 1150's.

I reckon there may be some hope in changng the throttle grip or possibly the 'cams' on the TB's.

Not found any specific products yet - any ideas out there from our illustrious entrepreneurs ?

I think Vern knows someone who's done something about it. I believe they machined an insert that fitted inside the groove in the throttle grip, effectively increasing the diameter of the operating thingy.

I' ve been thinking some more on this. What about the Boxer Cup Bikes ? Surely they can't have raced with the nee for two armfuls of throttle ?

Anyone tried one ? Is it a quicker action - if so it might just be a change to the grip.

i guess another adea would be to reduce the diameter of the disks on the throttle bodies where the cables rap around, if possible....

Hmmmmm billet machined alloy, shouldn't be too difficult for the "engineering types" but way beyond my capabilities with a bench grinder and cordless drill:rolleyes:
