I own a 2000 model GS, and am fairly sure that it does not have quick release option for the fuel lines under the tank.
I am putting togather a lighting package and want to wire it in. Following top advice, i have been told its best done with plenty of time and taking the tank off, so i can get at the fuse box to put a motoswitch in.
So.
1. How do you disconnect the tank without fuel going everywhere.. when you dont have the quick connectors..
2. Where can i get hold of them and how do you fit them?
I dont intent to take the tank off often, so if i can reasonably get away without putting the quick connectors in, i think i would go for that, following comments regarding fuel leaks and problems pinching O rings..etc.
PS.. any kind electrical whizes out there, wish to give me a hand with the lighting installation.. would be pint and food init for anyone who has so bravely gone before me down this path..
I have ordered a Migsel bar, and waiting to get a relay switch off Rob F, hoping to fit.. FF50 fog and driving lights..
Admitedly i may be jumping the gun, as i have not actually ridden the bike in full darkness yet,, but general opinion appears to be that the standard lights beam and intensity are lacking..
Cheers in advance..
John..
