This morning I hot iced a smell of petrol in my garage as soon as I turned on the ignition. I checked the fuel line QR connectors but no is true or petrol. Pulled off the plastic cover on the right hand side of the tank and hey presto there was the problem. The quick release connector in the picture was wet with petrol. I turned on the ignition and the petrol sprayed out at the join. So I have two questions for the collective.
1 If I seperate the unit will fuel run out of the tank ?
2 Is it likely that the leak is caused by a failed O ring ? I have a spare one from a repair to leaking connector under the tank on my other Adventure. Its part number C1 87 03 F1B 13 53 7 700 797 .
