Coming from sports bikes just wondered if anyone fitted a Quickshifter to there GS? When I was first looking for a GS a guy called DING-DONG on here offered me his bike which had one fitted, also had one fitted to an R1200R. If anyone got one or used one what makes were used and did they work well and were they worth the money?

One of the leading after market QS manufacturers is Translogic.

I had one fitted to a 2013 GS, and it worked beautifully. But .... only up the box.

Depending on the age of your GS, you may be able to retro fit BMW's in house version ?

A friend of mine bought Ding Dongs old 1200R with a quick shifter. Up shifts only.
He wasn't impressed.I probably rode it for 400 miles or so and thought it was unnecessary as the twincam gearbox was smoother without it.

After about 1800 miles the gearbox output seal started to leak, wether this had anything to do with the quick shifting is anybody's guess.

Good to hear, I had a translogic on gsxr 1000 that done up and down the box and was really smooth but needed good revs, can understand why it would be unnecessary on a GS. Just toying with the idea but better to learn off people who done it!

The gear lever has adjustment at the peg and the shaft so can be fine tuned for your needs. A lighter weight clutch action would be nice.
