Listen, if I could get the Church of Scotland to take me on as a guy who spends his time going round the country and just stopping to talk to bikers, or just riding along with them, being there when things go wrong - with my AA membership card - do you think I would still be here in Hawick?
There have been moments when sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle have overtaken me, and I have realised with a jolt that I need to concentrate.
In fact last Sunday morning I told the 2nd Service that I had something really, really, really exciting to tell them, but that I couldn't tell them about it just yet - and I got pelters. They'll see it when it arrives sometime in March.
