Hi,The speedo on my r100 is very eratic,once over 40 mph it can read anything from 50 to 80.
The cable has been replaced.
Is there anyone that repairs/recalibrates them? thanks.

My 1980 RT is just the same...

I haven't found anyone to rebuild it yet, so I live with it

I am using my Zumo now if i know i am going near speed camera,s.
It would be nice to get it sorted though,every thing else has been done.

The problem with the gs speedo is you need to destroy the bezel to get into it.

The standard airhead speedo's are completely open when you take them out of the housing.

This one is on a R100 S,1981.

I did take my ST speedo apart to fit a tripmeter plunger , rubber button and retainer and refit original glass (A previous owner has fitted a plain glass without a tripmeter button hole, and removed the plunger as well)
Anyway back to the point.
One apart, I blew the mechanism very carefully with an airline. Then on each moving partput a dab of silicone oil with a very small paintbrush. Admittedly, he speedo functioned correctly before, so I'm hoping after that the speedo will not play up for a long while.
