I am in the process of registering my bike in Spain and need to know the CO2 emissions on the bike to calculate the applicable tax. Can anybody help me with the actual emission figure in g/km. Note it is the 2002 model, no twin spark.

Sods law tells me it is going to be more than 120g/km so the maximum charge is going to apply but it is worth a try!

Grateful for any help,

Cheers

James, You need someone with a certificate of conformity, it will be on there somewhere, I`ve got one for my GSA, but unfortunately its at home and I`m currently in Hong Kong and will not be home for 4 weeks.

BMW website? They must have had to provide this for selling the things in Spain.

You could fork out for some F800GS stickers and hope the paper munchers don't know the difference.:D Then give them the F800 figures.

I'll need to register it sooner than four weeks but thanks for the help.

I don't think I have a certificate of conformity but I'll have a look through the paper work again. Or is the certificate attached to the bike somewhere?

Cheers

Looks like I do need a certificate of conformity. Can anyone help me out? PM me and I can provide email address.

I have done a bit of investigating and it looks like the COC's were introduced in 2003 after my bike was manufactured. However I think a 2003 document will still be 99% valid apart from the emissions figure which will have changed due to the launch of the twin spark model.

I am in conversation with a local testing station and they need a official 'technical specification' which will be based on the COC. Todomoto do not seem to be able to supply me with anything so I think the best option is to get a 2003 bike COC and use it for mine.

The guy in the testing station has been the most helpful. Going to book it in for its test anyway to get the wheel turning...
