Good evening just a quick one on suspension settings in Road Dynamic and Enduro, if I wanted the softest setting for bad roads would I have Road set to -2 rather than +2 ?

Yep

Be aware that your linked brakes will also be far more noticeable in road mode, I ride in dynamic for the more natural brake behavior and sometimes -2 damping if I know the roads will be bad
What have linked brakes got to do with road mode & how do you notice "the more natural brake behaviour" in dynamic??.

I find in road mode it favors the rear brake too much, which sometimes makes the front lever feel really hard, you have to really squeeze it to get pressure on the front brakes, it’s quite off putting when braking enthusiastically and it feels like the bike is fighting you, especially as I only use two fingers for braking

In dynamic it just feels like any other bike, you get braking effort that feels proportional to your pressure on the lever or pedal or both, it feels a lot more natural

From the manual…..

This video gives a clear explanation of the suspension settings, what they do and how it feels when you change them.

Every day's a school day.
I had noticed if you press the rear brake first the front lever then felt tight. Hadn't realized it was related to the ride mode though but that explains it. I usually finish up riding in road mode and tend to only use the front brake knowing that it also works the rear.
That description from the manual explains why it sometimes feels different.
Thanks.

This was really useful to explain how to set up the suspension, though I have not had the opportunity to ride my GS yet…
