Are any of the Brethen aware of any dealer / garage in Scotland that has one of the above in at present?

I am considering getting one but need a test drive first.

Colin.

A couple of colleagues have them and won't stop raving about them !
The snag is; it seems so small , like a piece of jewellery rather than a motorbike imho !

Only bother if you are 5ft 6! or maybe less?

I sat on one, but didn't ride it, maybe I will try just for the crack, but it didn't seem low.

Enjoy

Thanks for the additional comment guys, I will call Douglas Park this morning (currently 2hrs ahead in sunny Iraq).

The size of the thing may be an issue; I am only 6ft but I fell into a pot of porridge as a young boy and subsequently I am built like a rugby prop - well Tosser sized for a GSA but perhaps not for the 9T.

Colin.

Enormous bikes are a comparatively recent phenomena. Something a bit smaller will probably be a lot of fun to throw about in the twisties.

I had one as a loan bike.
I didn't like the power or lack thereof.
Am I right in thinking it isn't the water cooled boxer in this bike?

My second bike is an S1000r, doesn't look as pretty as the NineT but it is a much, much better bike.

It's only the 110hp hexhead engine so a tad less than either the WC or s1000 but that's not what the bike is about. I can cross country very nearly as quickly on my 85hp 1150 as I can on my 110hp 1200.

Absolute tosh!!! I'm 5'11" and ride mine all the time, fits like a glove. Been out on some ride outs recently with a chap who is at least 6'2" and rides one...

Unless you've actually given one a go probably worth thinking about the advice you give..

I'm not the only one making identical observations !
(your tall friend might look like a cartoon guy riding it !)

.

You own BMW bikes, you are on a forum that is about boxer engines BMW's, you had one as a loan bike and you have to ask that question!

This summer I rode a 30yr old Kawasaki 750-4. It had less than 4 k miles on the clock. It FELT comically small compared to the GSA. I really didn't give a toss what I looked like or what folk thought (cool bike in actual fact) It was a proper hoot to ride, never went above 70 mph but loved it

Dundee definitely has one Colin

if your down testing give me a shout we can hook up for a coffee

I think they look lovely, I only sat on it right size for me. If I could I would!
