R100gs sidestand

I have modified the sidestand on my 100gs pd so that it is now just about possible for me to deploy whilst sat on the bike, however its still not the best solution out there!
I have contacted migsel to see if he can supply one of his stands, unfortunately he has no manufacturer at present.
I have also contacted bamw about the side stand they have in development, that is now a dead end due to insurance and potential liability issues. It seems none of the american manufacturers will supply to the uk also due to the libility issues.
Short of having a go at making a complete sidestand myself, does anybody know if any of the surefoot sidestands will fit the gs ( with modification ) or are the mountings completely different?

I have a Schneider side-stand fixer on my bike which basically means the stand doesn't self-retract. I have no problem operating it on or off the bike. I know they aren't made any more but someone with modest engineering facilities could surely reproduce them.

I am in the same boat,
Will probably look to modify the stand, as currently I have to get off the bike first, and I am not the tallest of people!

Schneider was sued,and taken to the cleaners by some numpty who had an accident after failing to retract the stand.

I welded a piece of studding to the original side stand and bent it to fit so it wouldn't get in the way. Now can put the side stand sitting on the bike with no problem.

Cost about 50 pence and took 5 minutes.

How does it manage to get behind the footrest and work, without catching the ground!
