My standstand is almost identical to #17 and was sold to be by Nigel Huish years ago as a copy of a Surefoot stand, still sold I believe by Motorworks. Mine was over engineered so I whittled away much of the steel and drilled a few holes in it for added lightness. The actual arm was far too heavy so I cut if off and replaced it with some smaller diameter tube. The only drawback I can see is that it's possible to ride away with it down but so far that hasn't happened as I always check. Not at all difficult to make one, as long as you can file and drill, and find a friendly welder.
