I've owned this bike since 2001, purchased from CW Motorcycles. I use it mostly for off road riding, for which it is excellent. It currently has almost new Mitas Enduro Trail XT+ tyres, which are superb off road. Over 24 years I have maintained it at great expense and adapted it to my needs.
It has Wedgetail ignition, a recently refurbished Öhlins rear shock (superb!), Andreani fork inserts, Acewell speedo, and many other nice modifications to make it work well off road. The fairing, upper crash bars and some other parts were removed to make it lighter at the front, as it was prone to losing grip when riding in mud, gravel, and sand.
I regularly ride trails on it, using it for the more challenging ones, rather than my new Africa Twin.
It has had valves redone by Overland and Classic. The gearbox was replaced under warranty many years ago when the circlip failed (the new one was from a GS Basic I think, based on the serial number).
