Was looking to upgrade my R80RT to 1000cc when this caught my eye. Has anyone in this parish had a go at putting a full RT fairing on a Paralever??

Shouldn't really be that hard You only really need the two threaded holes in the front of the headstock for your initial mount Everything else can be fabricated as you go!

Am I right in thinking that those threaded holes are supplied on all r series airheads including Paralever. Though I saw them on the r100GS/PD

I remember a paralever GS years ago with an RT fairing fitted. I think it was a german site but can't find a link

My '94 Mystic (R100R stamped on the frame) has the two threaded holes in the headstock with plastic plugs inserted.
Years ago I fitted an RT fairing to my 90/6 but had to drill and tap the mounting holes in this case.
Cheers
Fran

That's good news for me Fran. I think Ill look out for a decent Paralever now for this years winter project, R100GS even

And RT fairing on a GS... In two words you have managed to piss off both the GSisti and the café racer aesthetes... I like your style...:D

I did manage to fabricate a mount for a KTM 640 fairing onto an R100GS a while back

I thought it looked Like Gonzo

It just wasn't big enough and needed some serious glass fibre work to make it look right

Thing about it is, if you do make a hybrid and it doesnt work or you don't like it, just put it back the way it was and no harm done.
