I saw this beauty on the street this morning. It has R100R on the side panels, and looked as if it just left the showroom. Never saw one before but it has the look of a "bitsa"

The R100R was to Paralever GS's what the R80ST was to the early GS.

I've always wanted one but their values are holding-up too well for my wallet.

Better bike in my opinion. decent brakes and better handling.

I sold mine a couple of years ago, they're great bikes. Brakes were from the K series if I remember right..

The Mystic was a slightly different styled machine. Lovely looking bike IMO

Me too. I quite like the look of them (though I'm not 100 percent sure).

Prices vary from £1'500 to £4'500 Depending on hwo's selling it.

OOh realy! You have an R100 Mistic, as in the picture? or do you mean you have an R100R?
I've never seen a Mistic in the UK, just R100R's 'some with slightly odd paint jobs

Wow! That looks good. how's it handle with the chair on? I've got a hankering for a chair (shame me wallet hasn't though).

Glad you've kept all the original bits too. I've done the same with Jills 100GS, all in a box in the attic. Any parts I needed to modify/butcher I bought second hand.

Nice to see such a rare bike, thanks for showing it to us. You bringing it to the Airhead Weekend next year?

I sold mine a few years ago ... in some ways I wish I still had it.

Twin plugged, gas flowed, front forks sorted by Ron Williams at Maxton, rear WP suspension etc .....
Mods done after this piccie was taken ... was the day I bought it!

Well, I guess there must be a few of us Mystic owners out there! This is mine with the younger members of the family, been running it for a couple of years now and I think it's a great bike. I've changed a few things, and it now has a smaller screen and I've got the original shock back on. It's a classic bike that can be used any day - good lights and brakes are essential nowadays. For my project this winter I'm thinking of fitting a different subframe, and possibly an old RS seat, as the original seat is a bit low for my comfort.

Hmmm! What sort of money do you think A Mistic should fetch? I do like them.

Why did BMW break with tradition & put a name on this model? Was it destined for the states? Arethey the same as other R100 models?
