After seeing a few, I really like these, after I got the 1150 Gsa I quite fancy a roadster instead of my gs airhead, can't seem to see any for sale what price do they go for, ( nice condition ) anyone interested in swap for a R100GS bumblebee :nenau

I owned one ,it was ok I think IMO a Bumble Bee is a better bike to own,the clock area of the r100r was very cheesy almost looked like a afterthought and it bounced up and down annoyingly ,the showa forks look good and the twin brembo brake set up on the front is very effective ,It does look good especialy in Black (mine had a silver frame which I wasnt keen on the black frame much nicer).Price wise I could not give mine away ,but Ive seen them advertised between £1800to £4000 not much help to you but again mileage and condition are everything ,personaly a round headlight bumblebee is better bike looking wise and investment wise.

Hello I own a R100r Mystic and to be honest they are a bit bland , even with good brakes and good rubber etc , somehow the Gs are more interesting to own

Ill do you a deal on the bumblebee if you fancy

Chris

I've got a mega low mileage R100R in my collection. They can do everything a GS can, but are far better over longer distances.

Picked mine up when you couldn't give them away.

I fancied a Mystic or R100R but they have become too expensive compared to what I will pay so I bought this R1100R instead for less money. It's in excellent condition, 17k, with a screen and gell seat, heated grips and non-ABS . I have too many bikes at the moment so it will be for sale the end of August if anyone is interested then.

The R1100R (or even the R850R) would certainly be the better bike to live with. The R100R isn't ever gioing to be particularly interesting to ride, even if it is a cut down GS. The GS will always be more valuable in comparison. Unless however you can get hold of a R100 Mystic in good condition. Then you will have a bike that is just as uneventfull as the R100R but will keep it's value as well if not better than a Para GS.

I chose the R100R over the R100GS about 5 years ago.

The main reason for my choice was the extra braking power of the twin front disks (and IMHO more sturdy Showa forks) of the R100R over the single front disk of the R100GS.

This motorcycle is used mainly two-up and the extra braking capability is always appreciated, by both myself and my vocal pillion.

I have ridden both variations and personally, if being used solely on tarmac, I prefer the extra front wheel rubber on tarmac contact provided by the R100R.

It would be an entirely different matter if riding trails or off road.

My R100R took us to the Greek islands and back, year before last, without a worry. A couple of oils leaks, but no worries!

I've now had the gearbox overhauled by Voyager of this parish (Thanks Bob), and after I get around to changing a head gasket I should have a leak free motorcycle, for a little while at least!

Ahh it was you that pipped me to that earlier in the year :augie
I still like my gs, its just buying the 1150 GSA fancied something a bit more road orientated.
especially as SWMBO has forgotten I haven't sold the airhead like I told her I would :augie
