R100RT Adjusting screen height query

I have unscrewed the two hand nuts on either side of the fairing. The screen is loose at the sides, but does not want to move in the middle. this might be because no-one's moved it in years, or is there an additional nut that I'm missing? I don't want to force anything and break something.

I don't think that there is, otherwise the two nuts on the sides wouldn't be designed to release by hand, unless there is another hand nut under the fairing?

I have the Haynes manual, but not an owners manual.

I had a 1979 RT, the one with the little ears at the top of the screen. Some scrote pulled the top of the screen back and broke the fixing at the bottom of the screen.

IF I remember correctly this fixing is under the concertina-like rubber seal running under the bottom of the screen from side to side, and I THINK it was just a couple of large-headed screws mounted in rubber bushes in holes in the perspex which allowed the movement for adjusting the tilt of the screen.

I have a copy of the Owner's Handbook, actually it covers the R100, CS, RS and RT, but all it says about the windscreen is how to adjust it.

So not "a couple of large-headed screws" then, but it shows you the sort of thing to look for.

Apologies if I am stating the bleedin' obvious, but the airhead RT screen is only designed to adjust by tilting rather than lifting. With the side locks loose, the screen will tilt forward or rearward, but the centre of the screen (at fairing mounting points) does not raise. It is the angle change of the screen that directs the airflow differently. HTH

Just undo the knobs ( as you have done ) and she will move forward or backwards...no other bolts in there

Sorry John. You said tilt, I said tilt. Assuming that we are both attempting to assist Eliminator with his thread and are in fact agreeing on the method of adjusting the screen, where is the confusion?
