Very rare opportunity to get hold of an 1100GS that has been converted from fuel injection to carbs. This is an excellent modification that very significantly improves the riding experience. I purchased the bike 9 years ago and it has history on UK GSer dating back to 2011. Here is the original modification thread describing the work done and results

My experience concurs with the above – compared to my other GS’s it is wonderfully tractable and soft on and off throttle, pulling smoothly from 25 mph in 5th gear. Super relaxed and smooth cruising at speed limit – fantastic both for touring and commuting/ town work.
The ride comfort/ position is also assisted by the following accessories – ohlins rear shock, both standard and sargent seats according to taste, MRA vario screen, Bar risers, touratech footpeg peg lowers/ extended brake pedal. additional wind protection from 1150 wide tank and hand guards. Superbly comfortable tourer.
Bike comes with iconic ‘Long Way Round’ 1150 Adventure tank with QR , Alpos hard panniers with quick release/ aux fuel holder, Givi Maxia top box, OE tank bag, 1150 handguards, Hella riding lights and additional main beam lights on touratech mounts, wunderlich crash bars, Garmin street pilot sat nav/ mount ( needs battery ), Full BMW tool kit, Haynes manual, box of spares, huge history file.
Price is £2295 which I think is reasonable due to rarity and accessories - shock alone is £900 new.
Bike is one of last 1100’s which the highly respected engineer Gary bought in 2005and took from 10k to 55k with excellent maintenance. Matkat owned for a year 2k before selling to me in 2016 since when I have taken the mileage to 75k. In its life bike has been all over Europe and to Africa and has been 100% reliable in my ownership. Oil has been changed 9 times in 18k miles with full records kept ! All consumables pads, tyres, battery in good condition. Carbs refurbished with new jets etc in last year and new starter motor fitted.
V5 in my name, Full 12 moths MOT - no advisories. Tester commented on excellent condition for age/ mileage.
Photos show the condition which is a testimony to the care it has received and the quality of BMW bikes of that era. Almost no corrosion on front plate, light dents on tank have been stickered. Bike starts and runs perfectly.

Over the past 10 years goodness knows how many bikes of all sorts have come and gone including 2 1200 GS but the wonderful to ride, easy to work on 1100 has been my main stay for touring, observing , rideouts etc.
I’m selling reluctantly due to advancing hip arthritis.
Bike is located 10 min from M6 Kendal exit. I can deliver on my trailer if that helps.
