R1100GS Advice on Pillion Pegs

Hi all,

My new to me R1100GS came without any rear Pillion pegs, or even the brackets that hold them to the black tubing.

Every search i try comes up with all sort of Pegs, but few feature all the bracket-ware etc that is needed too.


Any good sources to find what I need ?

Any advice on aftermarket options ?

Anyone have any knocking around the garage ?!

Any close up photos of the set-up ?

I suspect, but am not sure, that the 1150 pegs are the same.

The pillon pegs of R1100GS and R1150GS are the same - they have the same part numbers.

If you need any part numbers of BMW vehicles (cars or bikes), try www.realoem.org . This page delivers schematics of all components. Prices of the parts are shown in USD, which may give you some rough estimation but prices in your country may differ. The part numbers are official BMW, which means that any BMW dealer can find and order the parts if you tell him the number.

R1150R rear peg brackets fit the R1150GS so should also fit the 1100

You'll need those brackets as well if you're fitting the BM System Panniers, the panniers have a lug that fits over the back end of the bracket.

Hopefully I'll soon be set up for Mrs Judda to take a ride on the 'new' bike, which seems fair as she was the one who encouraged me to get it !
