ok iv'e bought her a new car now it's my turn. £6000 but what do i buy
1100 or 1150 is there much difference.

If you have £6000 to spend I would go for an 1150 as it is 6 speed and probably easier to sell on later.

Next to no difference.
Only the looks, which is down to personal preference, and the gearbox. The 1100 has a 5 speed, but the ratios are better while the action is poor. The 1150 has a 6 speed with a smoother change. First gear and sixth gear have been criticised for being too high/low.
Opinion seems to be that 1100's are better built.
I originally wanted an 1150, but ended up with an 1100. I'm more than happy with it.

Also a lot of 1150’s have a tendency to “Drop out of 6th gear” first gear is very tall. Why not hold off and get a 1150gs ADVENTURE secondhand http://www.mobile.de/cgi-bin/searchPublic.pl?new=1&bereich=womo&sprache=1
