After nearly giving birth to a hernia at Lumb Farm, I decided that the 1100 sidestand is about 2" to short ... so I trooped off to Verns at VNDprojects.....and he assisted me ( I made the coffee
) in turning a 2" steel insert which matched the side stand perfectly. This was welded together so well I couldn't even see the joins !!!
Anyway, bike is a joy to put on the side stand now
The sidestand is obviously longer and does touch the centre stand foot when both stands are up ( as in pic ) and you need to just push down the sidestand a tad in order to place your foot to deploy the main stand...but other than this ( and the stand is just as light as Vern bores out the insert so the sidestand is firmly held up ) it is a brilliant and recommended mod
