Well, it will but a push up on the handle and it pops open with or without the lock engaged. So far I've had the mechanism apart, the lock works fine, the lever that turns from the base of the lock cylinder moves correctly to prevent the handle mechanism from moving down but when all put back together, it somehow bypasses it and opens anyway so I have no way to lock the topbox now. Has anyone else encountered this? Can anyone point me to an exploded drawing of the mechanism to see if I'm missing something?
