Always used tourance on mine but switched to Avon trailriders and never looked back; the only way to find out would be to give them a try; there's not much to loose.:beerjug:

I've had Tourances on my 1150GS for the last 12 years but fancied a change this time around, so fitted a pair of A40 Bridgestones. I'm over the moon with them! Grip is brilliant wet or dry, but the real game changer for me is the almost total lack of vibration. Previously after a ride of any duration my hands and fingers would be tingling from the vibes, I always suspected it was the Tourances, but a little nagging voice in my head kept suggesting all kinds of impending doom, gloom and catastrophic failures of engine or transmission . However, I put the Bridgestones on and all vibes are gone, it's a revelation, an epiphany even! It's like riding a 'normal' bike again
So, I'm very impressed and would highly recommend them .

I get this but never would of put it down to tyres just thought being short of a 6th gear on the 1100 it's was a result of the bike revving higher. Will have a look at these.

Suppose your right never had a issue with Tourance so fancy a change. Cheers

Tourances are £145 from M+P currently. Hard to justify paying £240+ for something else when they still perform so well on the whole. I’m struggling to decide between them and Conti Trail3s or PR5’s to replace the crappy Battlewings on my S10. Already got a pair of Tourances for my 850, so could have the same on both. Never noticed any vibes from them, although I always balance them, which I hear on here isn’t always the case!!:blast

I only ever balance the front wheel on mine and never had any vibe issues on the tourance or the trailriders; the tourance do feel harder on the rd than the Avon's but that could just be how they feel to me.

If you are never going off road

I had Tourance for years on mine, never really had a problem with them, but didn't like the "cupping" wear on the front. I had the wheels refurbished and took the opportunity to look at more road biased tyres. In the end I chose Michelin Pilot Road 5 and find them excellent particularly in the wet. Styling wise, they look a bit more Super Moto than rufty-tufty GS Overlander, but then I don't ever (hopefully) leave tarmac. The only thing I would say is that they are more sensitive to pressures, but then we are all keeping tabs on that every time we ride anyway:D
