R1100GS- What's this?

Just stripping down the bikes rear end and wondered what this plug is?

It's located to the rear of the fuse box and was bolted to the offside frame under the tool box.

Don't remember seeing one like it on my old R1150GS's or 850GS years ago. Maybe i was just blind.
This is on a early R1100GS with ABS.

Also has a large screw underneath with a access hole to adjust

Am sure it does, unfortunately the bike is in my rented garage in the next town. Will look next trip over.
