R1100rs-whats it worth?

Not a gs I know-sorry- I have found a 1994 R1100rs 84k and a bit tatty with diffrent colour bodywork, its too far from me to pop round, they have it advertised for 1K but would take £800-is that around the figure i should be looking at? needs a new front tyre + poss fr discs

And make sure the gearbox is ok. The RS was the first of the oilheads and it took three goes to get the gearbox reasonably reliable. A '94 will have the earliest type unless it's been changed.

Unless you can go see it do not buy it! I paid the price I bought mine with a bimble around the carpark and then discovered a lot of faults when I got it home[Story Here]

All rectified now inc rebuilt gearbox! (this is the crunch with the earlier bikes!) and mines been Sorted and the bikes been sort of "off~road~a~fied" makes doing the miles much easier!

It's good to go with Tax and test new tyres and brakes and is getting a 12000 mile service too!

You'd be better with a cheap flight to look at that K75 I was telling you about on Hawksleys site (By the way Your message to me came thru as deleted and I didn't get to read it, in case you didn't know?)

Thanks for the link, I wont have that long to go and view and purchase-and i did`nt like the k100lt i had a while ago also wont the ferry be expensive on the way back?

p.s. its had new injectors, ignition and the panels on one side are the wrong colour because of a deer running into it-bmw 1 deer 0

I ended up with a 1989 k100rs with 34k on it for £600 as it was listed as a trike.
we are very happy together and I got 48mpg at between 10 and 30 over the mway limit.
