My Friend has recently fitted a new clutch assembly to his R1100 RT ,after building the bike back up he noticed that he has to pull the lever with both hands its that tight ,anyway he swears he put everything together correctly and cant understand the problem ,any hints before it gets stripped out again would be appreciated .Cheers John

Obviously something amiss if he needs both hands to operate the clutch, Popeye always recommended spinach,:augie,...... but failing that I would disconnect the clutch cable at the gearbox end and operate, if its nice and free, you need to examine the pushrod operating mechanism, make sure its all free and moves without binding, If the problem cant be found there then more extensive work needs doing, Hope its something simple.

I can't believe that anyone is dumb enough to fit a new clutch and spend hours putting it all back together before they have even tried it.

Was he waiting to make it really difficult to adjust the gearbox end of the cable or something.
