Doon the watter?

Indeed I did sir! Made for a nice wee trip doon the watter. A PM with any relevant history would be good.

On another point, does anyone have a photo (or willing to take a photo) of the front tank bag mounting "eyes" on an RT? They're the things which screw onto the front of the tank to which the front straps of the BMW tank bag are hooked.

I bought a tank bag from a BM club member but the "eyes" are missing. He thought all the RTs came equipped with them so left them on the bike when he sold it. (BMW giving things away free????? I don't think so!)

The first post in this thread, 5th photo down shows a cross bar that the sat nav is mounted to.
I wouldlike one of these for my RT and was wondering if it is custom made or can I buy one from somewhere?
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Haven't seen them made up commercially for sale, but simple enough to make up yourself, got myself a bit of mild steel tube, cut to length, and got a local welder to weld to end mounts to it and jobs a goodun, (don't forget to drill a tiny hole in the bottom of the tube to let air out when welding up) , painted with etch prime and simonz tough black silk

If I were doing the job again I would make the mounts about 1/2 inch longer to drop the bar lower because when the screen is dropped to its lowest position it can foul the touratech mount, hence the subtle bit of tape on the screen,, but with other sat navs like the one in the pic on page 1 it wouldn't happen.
