R1150 alternator

[Rugged Path]

I would like to declare that my alternator has never let me down since I bought the bike in 2003. Nothing to do with luck as I am English.
Out of curiosity, has anybody had problems? What would be the obvious failings?

Is there a schematic of the alternator for future reference.

the denso and bosh are pretty common, am sure that google would be your friend for a break down of parts and information about it
