r1150 clutch slave question

It runs in my mind, that you actually need the Kupplungsnehmerzylinder Nehmerzylinder Kupplung Bj.01-05.1

The Kupplungsnehmerzylinder Nehmerzylinder Kupplung Bj.01-05 doesnt have the Kupplungsnehmerzylinder Plunger sprung washer on it.

The actual slave is the same as the 1150gs, the hoses may be different lengths. If you want a good used one Motoworks list them for £28 (link at top of this page).

Why buy a used slave cylinder just to save a few pounds for all the grief it can cause when they go wrong, and the potential to ruin an expensive clutch. .

Fit a new one and don't worry about it for another ten years _ works out at £8.50 a year, 17pence a week, 2.35pence a day.

Listen to the Man. Unless you enjoy taking the bike apart to fit a new clucth don't fit a S/H cylinder. Mine leaked last year (at 9.5 years old) and it gets on the plate, no alternative but to buy and fit a new clutch

Motivlack, although Motoworks do warrant all their used parts, if it does start leaking I doubt they will cover any resulting damage to the clutch that it may cause. I fitted a new one to mine even though the original looked fine. At the end of the day they are expensive for what it is, but in real terms its less than what I would spend on a good night out. :thumb

I see another thread on this but can someone please explain how to remove the sleeve inside the seal(input shaft seal behind clutch slave)..Thanks

Or is that the end of the shaft itself? I don't really want to take to gearbox off.
