R1150 oil cooler pipe compatibility

Hi all,
I’m looking for a decent pair of oil cooler feed/return pipes for my R1150GS, which are like hens teeth!

Can anyone confirm whether the pipes and/or cooler from other R series 1150’s are compatible? I’m looking at R1150RS and R1150RT ones in particular, as they’re more abundant.

The bike part sites like realoem.com show cross-compatibilities of parts being the same between models, so will answer your question, but there are some parts that can be used on different models, even though BMW haven’t done so. Examples are tank swaps or wheel swaps that many people have done.

My experience with looking up part numbers is that if it’s the same part size and shape on different models, but a different colour, it has a different part number and isn’t listed for that bike. One of the oil pipes is silver on a GS - if it’s black on an RT then the only way I’d know if it would fit is if someone has made the swap already (or by buying one and lining it up to see!)

Exactly the point I was getting at, and what many of us have done with various mods over the years. I swapped a GSA tank onto my GS before people knew it could be done, and swapped to alloy wheels but had to research which models would work best. It’s great fun meeting the challenge and adding to the knowledge base.
