R1150 small ignition key question

My R1150RT came with 1 normal and 2 of these small keys, what is the point of the small keys, they work but are a pain to use?

Keep it in your wallet for emergencies.

They’re emergency keys for your wallet, as said
They’re not for daily use
Or for a new key to be cut from

Why not daily use?
The rubber part on mine evenually wore through so i use one of small ones.
seems to work ok for the last how ever many years, 10 or 12.

You must dainty little fingers , I can't get hold of it, luckily the normal key is still functional.
