R1150GS L/H Pillion Footpeg Bracket Wanted Please

I've got a pair of the ones that are meant for the full OEM luggage, but I don't want to split (they'll go on ebay one day when I can be bothered and probably won't sell individually)

You're welcome to the set though

EDIT....I've also got the other type, the ones you're after, which I was going to stick on to replace the luggage type, but the same logic goes for those.....a single one plus the rests/rubbers is no good to me so I'd want to sell the pair complete

Hi Mr F, I wasn't aware there were 2 types - I thought the luggage fitted the top end of the bracket, on the rubber boot (no. 4 in the diagram).

Anyway, I understand about splitting a pair. Motorworks want £45 for the single bracket I need, but this would be too cheap for your pair, so I'll wait for now, thanks. :thumby:

THIS is the 'other' type......TBH, I'm not sure if it's a luggage related change or an age related change...my first GSA had the type you want, my second has the type in that linky :nenau

I almost choked when I just saw the price of the ones in that link BTW :D :eek

EDIT...I just saw the small print on the description, which makes sense.....
If you mount the rack system for the Aluminium-Bags, you also have to install this special foot rests, if you want to take a passenger on board.

One type (the one Cookie wants) fits with system panniers, the other with Aluminium boxes.

Cookie - let me have a look in the garage, I may have a spare...

Ah, yes - the "other type" must be in the ally pannier mounting kit.

I came off on some diesel a few weeks ago and smashed the aluminium part of the bracket - trying to minimise repair costs. The bike got off light - screen, indicator, head guard, Givi rack. I mashed my shoulder and ribs pretty thoroughly and only been able to wield spanners since last week. First time out on the bike since the crash yesterday - bastard well hurts to ride, but I feel better now :)

If you need the bracket to get you and the missus back out again quick, let me know.......you are welcome to use mine until you can get a replacement, then you can send me mine back :beerjug:

You are all top-notch gentlemen and I thank you kindly.

However, in the best example of karma I have seen for a while, Colin (Colban of this parish) has found one which he will post to me. The same Col to whom I donated a couple of surplus batteries a couple of years ago.

I love this place!!! :D

A lovely happy ending... Except your ribs and shoulder of course.

Diesel caught me out a few winters ago going to work at 5am.

I've a spare rear mudguard if you need one..

Mend soon.

Dave

Bike fixed (apart from some nasty gravel rash on the screen - see below), ribs now OK and shoulder mending slowly. Out for a bit of a run last Friday, all is well again. Thanks to Col for the bracket :beerjug:

Thanks for the advice and good wishes and thanks to Dave for the offer of a mudguard - not a mark on my mudguard, but indicator replaced, footpeg bracket replaced, head guard filed and re-painted. Just gravel rash on the (very expensive) screen remains
