Hi new to this site , hoping someone can help with a problem with my rear shock.
Tried adjusting the damping yesterday , the hard to soft screw has popped out and will not adjust properly.
Bodged it with a cable tie , have I broke the shock(showa)or is it repairable.
Seen a r1150r shock on ebay for £75.
Any ideas?

I dont think the Showa shocks are rebuildable and the R shock is too short.
It has a different P/N anyway.
I would try for a proper GS shock on ebay or buy Ohlins or Wilburs unit

For a proper workshop any shock is rebuildable.

Call to the suspension workshops and ask, some guys are talented there and can rebuild unrebuildable shocks. I know one guy here in Estonia who overhauls unrebuildable shocks, does quality work.

But in a long term, then follow the advice given here: buy rebuildable shocks like Wilbers or Öhlins etc.

(shouldn't this be in the Technical section btw, mods? :))
