2000 r1150 gs. Unfortunately I have not got the with me today but I noticed that the seat lock mechanism was a bit loose the other day. How is it secured. Any pics ?

I will back with the bike tomorrow morning. Can anyone also let me know what bolts/nuts I should bring with me in case there are any missing.

Only secured by a couple of bolts IIRC. Likely to be snapped though. My 2003 has the same problem. Solution is either a new mechanism or a plate with short self tappers to brace it.
One m6 bolt, can't remember the exact length but it's very short.
Unless the seat lock bracket has broken (common problem), in which case you'll need a new one.

I stand corrected, Steppers. M6x14 bolt according to RealOEM.
