R1150GS with Cam head R1200GS muffler

Hi all,
I have been given a brand new muffler from a 2013 cam head R1200GS.

I am tempted to make it fit on my R1150GS which I'm running a Y piece with standard muffler.

Has anyone done it?

I wonder how different it will sound, should be lighter as well I suspect, I also think that it looks better.
 
Doesn't sound too bad with the 12 silencer. Have you tried a stubby exhaust fitted to the cat? Not much noisier than standard but gives better options for luggage.

Yes a louder deeper note out of the 1200 one.
If I could find a full size left pannier I will fit a stubby for travelling, not easy to come by. It took a couple of years to find used GS panniers, small market here in OZ.
People ask silly money for anything GS, is this worth this much? www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/toowoomba-4...-r80g-s-paris-dakar-the-real-deal-/1105357392 I like them, and I would like one but for that much?

Yes, I went to an exhaust place and they made me a SS pipe reducer about 100mm long for Aus$5, cut the pipe on the muffler back, assembled it, tacked it and tigged it.
Like I said it is louder but deeper, I like it.
 
I'll do another video from exactly same location as with the OEM and not hand held as I did.
