I have done a fair few 1000+km days over the years.
Bit easier in rural Australia though.
But the speed limit is usually 100km/hr which is 64mph. Can get along at 110 ok, 120 in some areas, and that is mostly affordavle, but above that, lots of $/£ and go a little bit and its morning smoko with the Judge.
Advantage is that, on the right roads, can sit at 110 to 120 for a couple hours at a time, not many places need to slow down inland!
1150GS with Adventure tank and some times extra fuel bladded.

La Pobla de Segur to home on my 1150, 814 miles. Had a hotel booked in Limoges but felt good so cracked on, two hours later realised I had a dark visor and summer jacket on. Never again

I did Annecy - Honfleur in a day once, on the Blade. Got there in plenty of time for dinner
Although it needs a leg stretch (and fuel) every 120 miles or so, it’s a surprisingly comfortable bike.

I normally do Sids Caen to Valeilles in one hit, about 12 odd hrs,

A mix of A roads & peage

10 hours inc ferry on a hornet 900 so no fairing

but it was 20 years ago

left with 5 others to head to calais and after getting pez just after leaving the gite - didnt see them again

i was home and got a text saying they were at calais (they all lived south of harlow)

I've done Glasgow to Truro in one day, 535 miles, many times on the 1150GS and latterly the S10. The S10 is more comfortable, has a better standard screen and uses less fuel. All motorway to Exeter but if there were better A roads that didn't go through mobbed towns every few mile that would be preferable.

Stelvio to the Channel Tunnel and down to Dartmoor home in one ride - Never again thanks and certainly not on the 660 Tenere which did the job but wasnt much fun. I think when I got the tunnel I was straight on the train so not much of a rest then onwards the otherside. I intended to get home so I could have the rest of my leave doing something else but instead slept and recovered .
Thinking about it I was a bit daft as being so tired my concentration wouldnt have been very good!
