r1150rs intake tubes

?????????????????

RS tubes will increase your top end torque but drastically lower your bottom end torque!

The Normal modification is to go the other way

Air intakes

I fitted gs tubes to my 1100TRT and this f=did give more midrange urge, supposed to have knocked a bit off the top end but dident seem to make much difference.
Dave ( i hate christmas) gs.

i will be fitting a cat replacement pipe but keeping the standard can , i dont ride off road as i dont want to get up to the tits in mud , most or all of my rides are over good distance so its more mid to top end go is what iam after

just a little bit more would be good

Did you notice any difference in the performance of our Bikes when you were following me?

Leave as it is... You would notice loss of bottom end..barely tell difference at top.

It depends what else you do at the same time... I've got the bigger bore inlet tubes on my 1150, but also have a K&N airfilter, a Powercommander & a free flowing exhaust (Remus race & Y piece). The dyno charts I've got show improvements to torque & power across the entire revs. It also gave a 10% improvement in power at 40% throttle - just where you want for roll-on overtakes.

nah i would nt have a 1200 they dont look as good as the 1150 :augie and i love my 1150 to bits , i just want to make it a little better nothing mad , i did notice you had abit more mid range , it was a good bit lash on .

I've got the bigger bore inlet tubes on my 1150 ,, what tubes did you use paul

Yup fitted a pair for experimental purposes and while the top end is well up as Jaythro says it comes at the expense of losing low end torque which is what I like on the bike.

Have them in the garage anyone wants to fit them and see for the princely sum of £24 posted. :augie

As Paul says depends on what else you do...the GS I was riding has the 'lot'

In your case you only intend to remove cat..so IMO leave tubes standard...up to you of course;)

I just found this & thought it would be useful to back up my earlier comments... More torque, more bottom, mid-range & more top end.

The inlets are from an R1100S, I believe. They were fitted by Allan Jeffries a few years ago, along with a y-piece & Sebring end can I'd picked up somewhere. I've replaced the Sebring with a Remus Genesis race can that was being sold by HG in Cardiff a few years ago (some on here will remember this offer. They were £100 brand new). The PC was "donated" by Dynojet as they used my bike to test them when they started to import them.

HTH,
