i bought another bike last week, an R1150RT that was on ebay (you might have seen it - white, hard to believe low miles, '05 reg, in hungerford..was advertised for £6300)

well pleased with it, my 1100rt was good, but this thing is loads better, better brakes in particular (linked / servo assisted - i like the servo assisted brakes - some don't, my 1100 wasn't even ABS....) smoother ride, smoother gearbox, better headlight....it was only £28 to add it to the insurance.....allround well pleased.....

but it's not perfect, at higher speeds the standard screen leaves some turbulence..... there must be a better aftermarket screen?? any suggestions welcomed.

any suggestions for any other improvements also welcomed,

I had the Cee Bailey, and very effective it was too. Significantly less noise than the OEM one

Having had my 1100GS for some years, I took an 1150RT out for a test ride from Alan Jeffries. After a couple of hours riding around the Yorkshire Dales, I came back convinced that it should be against the law, and/or the laws of physics, for a bike of such dimensions to handle so well. Amazing machine. Still prfer the GS though. Oh, and sorry, can't help with the screen...

Dave.
