R1150RT Hall Sensor set up

Hi. I decided to change the HES on my 66k RT before it gives up. Just wondering how do I know it's in the correct spot. Seen a video on you tube where a guy had a fancy box with led's & switches on it. Was told of a technique where to turn over the engine from the crank pulley & fuel pump kicks in at TDC, but no matter where the HES is adjusted to the pump kicks in at same spot.

It doesn't make much difference to be honest, mark the position of your old one with a felt pen or scribe and put the new one in the same place. Chances are it will work perfectly.
