I’ve been seduced by a younger thing. Whilst I would never have described my GS as my forever bike, that I’ve had it over 18 years says something.
It’s being part exchanged next week, so only available for a short time, and I’ll be starting to put it back to standard in the next couple of days. I’ll leave everything on for a purchaser from here.
Stuff fitted at present:
Keihan decat headers and a Beowulf silencer (with baffles fitted - a bit louder than standard, but not offensive). Hilltop remap with these fitted.
Wunderlich (I think) side panels and oil cooler guard.
Touratech headlamp protector and peak.
Bar risers.
Pyramid hugger and fender extender.
Crud catcher.
Stahlkoffer engine bars.
Sargeant riders seat.
Probably other stuff I’ve missed.
It’s got full Vario luggage in good condition, as only used occasionally. Aftermarket inner bags.
It’s done a bit over 38k, had an engine oil and filter change last week. New Tourance tyres less than 1k back. New front pads 2k back. Motobatt battery.
Maintained by me, except when it had rather expensive repairs by Mikey Boy of this parish. The gearbox was rebuilt due to an input shaft issue, and a new clutch fitted whilst the bike was split. The final drive was refurbished whilst he had the bike. Photo’s and receipts to document. All previous MOT certificates present.
It’s tested until beginning of October, but I see no reason why it wouldn’t go straight through.
Generally good condition, occasional scuffs as an 18 year old 38k bike will have. Usual paint issues on the front engine cover.
Having read what I’ve written, I’m wondering why it’s going? Anyway, decision made, £4100.
I’m located 5 minutes or so from J2 M180 in north Lincolnshire.
Photos to follow in an hour or so when I get it out of the garage.

Photo's as promised. It hasn't been "prettified" for the advert and needs a good wash. It's just as I rolled it out of the garage this morning except I've removed the satnav charge cable whilst I was taking off the Baglux tank cover it normally wears, so folk can see the tank paintwork condition.
If you were to do a HPI check, it might come up as having had a colour change. This is nothing untoward, I bought it from Astle (now Marshall) Grimsby, and it was a bike from stock, not built to order. It was originally Namibia Orange, and I told them I wasn't interested in that colour. No problem sir, as an approved BMW body shop (they sell cars as well), we can paint it any colour you like. I didn't want anything outlandish, it's BMW Sapphire Black, and has a nice sparkle to it.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?), I'm withdrawing my GS from sale. Having just spoken to the dealer for the new bike, the trade offers for part exchange are nowhere near what my, or the dealers, expectations were. I appreciate it's a tight market for second hand bikes and dealers need to make a living, but I'm just not prepared to accept the low ball offer made, so I've got my deposit on the new one refunded, and it's staying with me.

Not sure where this thread should go now. If a mod can move it somewhere appropriate, or I'll mark it as sold in a while, and move it there.

I know exactly what your experiencing, I too was seduced by a younger model bike, but the low ball offers of around £2500.00 for my 08 Gsa to me was an insult, not a genuine offer at all.
As for helping any dealership again, they can go do one as far as I am concerned, it's not realistic to lose so much on selling your old bike, such a poor offer, and then spending 1,000's on a newer model. Only to lose again in the future.
I would much rather purchase another bike from another biker, after the usual checks have been done, sometimes a deal for your old bike as a p/x or swap might help make a nice deal on both bikes. Good luck with your biking future.

Thanks for the comments.
The offer was significantly less than yours for my bike.
To be fair to the dealer, he was up front in saying my bike would be going to trade, and the offer would be what it would be, but based on what I said was acceptable, and his experience, he thought we would be close.
Anyway, GS ownership continues 😁

Your bike is worth much more to yourself, and being a 1 owner bike from new, valuable to many other bikers.
If you was offered below the sum I mentioned, then two fingers :dabone to that dealership, carry on enjoying your lovely bike. :D That is £4000.00+ bike any day! Condition is Excellent, well worth more.
