R1200GS ADV luggage on R1150GS

Has anyone tried and been successful in fitting a set of R1200GSADV top box and panniers to a standard R1150GS. If so can you help as I think this would look great and have a set ready to go on.

Are those panniers same as standart 1200? I believe Touratech is selling some pannier frames to fit 1200GS panniers to r1150GS.

Or did I misunderstod your plan?

Yes they are the genuine allu panniers from R1200 will look at there web site.

I had the 1200 panniers on my 1150adv mounted with the Holan frames,looked well in my opinion but the paint finish on the holan frames flaked of real fast,if i was doing it again i would get them powercoated before fitting,also i extended the indicator legs with a set of extended ones from civil to aid visibility ,see lower pict.

I had a 1200 top box on my 1150. I had a local engineering firm adapt the mounting kit to fit on a touratech top plate. I will take some pics. I have since replaced it with a standard 1150gsa version so it was compatible with my panniers.

1200GSA panniers on 1150GS

Hi guys, I have a 2003 1150GS and just bought the alu panniers and topbox (secondhand).

I understand I can get a touratech or holan rack to fit the side panniers. But what about the topbox? Any ideas?

Also my 1150GS key won't fit the locks that came with these panniers. The BMW dealer said I needed a 1200 key for that. Now I've done some searching and it seems that the F650 lockbarrels will fit in the panniers and it also fits my 1150 key. Any idea where I could get those cheaply? These locks are about 20gbp if I had to order them through bmw.
Or if all fails, anyone know where to get a set of 1200 keys from?

do i have to change the rear flashlights left and right to adjust the panniers?
i ordered the stainless steel panniers..

Welcome to the site Paco

You'll need to shorten the stems on your indicators.... an easy job ( I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago)

Either that or you can buy a shorter set of indicator stems from metal mule

i got the holan panniers but it wouldnt fit right to(the muching points )!!!
the stainless steel ones.
so..i sent photos by mail and im waiting to see whats the problem.\
any similar problem gsers??
what about touratech?do i have to buy and moderate the passengers
foot pegs???
