R1200GS Adventure MPG

My apologies for asking this question as I'm sure it's been covered before but my search function doesn't seem to be working

I'm looking for some user feedback regarding how many miles per gallon your getting from your R1200GSA's

I currently own an F800GS and I'm interested to see how big the difference is between the two.

Mine does between 50 & 55 mpg

About 10 - 12 mpg in favour of the 800 in my experience.

52 mpg on the computer don't know how accurate it is never worked it out went up 3 mpg after a remap at hilltop

Daily commute on mixed roads is about 50mpg
That equates to 320 miles when it is in the last bar on the gauge.

Portsmouth to Torquay, being "enthusiastic" (2.5 hours) = 42mpg

I have a 2011 GSA 1200, average around 52 MPG. My mates GS 800 does around 10 mpg more.

Look at the data on the BMW Motorrad website. OK, it's done by the factory but so what, the ratio between the two sets of figures should remain reasonably constant. If you see that the GSA's figure is say 110% of the 800's you'll know near enough that your known mpg for the 800 can be multiplies by 110%.

Failing that, work on the happy rule of thumb of 10 miles per litre.... Now, just how big is that GSA tank?

2013 GSA with 475 miles on the clock. 47 MPG.

I have absolutely no idea, I've never worked it out, if you're worried about mpg I would recommend a Honda CG125 I read somewhere that they are very economical.

I bought my R1200GS because I wanted it....you're a long time dead.

Computer says 53.3 actual consumption when calculated on fuel consumed to miles ridden = 54.2

BMW claim the fuel tanks holds 33 litres yet I've regularly got a little over 35 litres in mine and that's not just at the same petrol station

A GSA fuel tank will take 36 litres if brimmed but I would suggest you only do that if you ride it for a few miles rather than leave it sitting in the sun... I got between 49-52 on average prior to a Hilltop remap, now its more like 47-49mpg in normal riding, 43 ish if I'm being enthusiastic. I'm in the the "think of 10 miles a litre" camp - can't go too far wrong with that.

Mine gets a bit over 10 to the litre - 47 to 48 mpg measured on tank fills and trip computer. If "REALLY" careful, I can get 60mpg but that's 50mph max, accelerate VERY gently and no uphills. Work the engine at all and it quickly drops to below 55.

Tyre dependant too. Pootling round Europe fully loaded 2-up and on small country roads seeing whatever there is to see I usually get 51-53.
Back home and change wheels to TKC80 and it'll drop to 48, consistently. Change back to Trail Attacks and mine will gain 3-4mpg.
