Can anyone advise me on the fitting of panniers.

Do I need pannier frames fitted or do they just clip onto the stud on the side.

You don't need frames, they hook into the 2 slots either side of the stud. The hooks are moulded into the pannier. The red lever locks them to the stud and there's a clasp on the forward side that pulls them into the frame and stops them swinging about. Less than 30 seconds a side.

Just make sure that the panniers sit firmly on the metal mushroom peg connection when you first clip them on. The adjustment for a secure fit is quite critical, but is easily adjusted with the locknut on the peg.
