ive bought a litre bottle of castrol saf xo, will this do both the gearbox and final drive, dont fancy spending another 16 quid on the oil (just spent another 12 quid for the honda moly 60 paste). Manual says 220mls for the final drive and 700-820mmls for the gearbox-anyone had this dilemma thanks in anticipation:thumb

Should have gone to halfords:thumb

I went to Halfords and they didnt know what I was talking about

Went to Honda car dealer and they couldnt help either

So where do you get this moly 60 stuff from then? Please do tell
:D

you can get it from honda motorcycle dealers, im going in the morning to buy some

The 60 in Moly 60 is the percentage of Molybdenum disulphide in the grease.

Castrols is very high, about 70-80% make the grease very thick and sticky. But also makes it smell
The other percentage is lithium based grease.
The honda stuff tends to be a little thinner.

The price I paid was for a 500gm tub
