For Sale R1200GS for spares (or repair)

This is a 1200GS which I dismantled a while after the drive shaft UJ gave up, with the intention of keeping as a source of spares for my other GS. However, changed circumstances mean I now need to have a clear-out and, anyway, the bike remains virtually complete except as noted below. The bike was originally a GSA but I have transferred the Adventure tank, screen and crash-bars to the other bike and so this is being sold with a standard GS tank and screen. Rear shock is Ohlins unit. Missing items include drive shaft, rear brake calliper, alternator belt, plastic fuel pump mounting plate (there but broken) and assorted nuts, bolts, washers, spire clips etc which were either past saving or rolled under the bench never to be seen again. The bike has not been used since 2019 (at which point it had done about 45,000 miles) but the engine is free and has regularly been turned over by hand. As can be seen form the photos the alternator casing is cracked although it was still charging when last used. As can also be seen from the photos, the frame and engine casings have suffered considerably from continuous use through 10 Scottish winters. Included are a pair of genuine BMW vario panniers (keyed alike to the ignition and seat) and both GS and GSA carriers. I have owned the bike from new, it was serviced regularly and I have the V5C. £650 Collection only from Edinburgh.
