Well, after 15 years or so on GSs I am close to cracking after 6 moths of WC GSA ownership. I was in the Yam dealers in Saturday after my bikes 4th unscheduled visit to the dealers and some 5 weeks off the road. Build quality is not a patch on the S10 ....and for that matter, previous BMs.
The WC is a great bike...if you have one that works properly...mine doesn't....although I have to say the dealer has been excellent....and to be fare so has BMW in trying to sort the issues. My problems may be a one off but I have now lost confidence in the bike being able to carry me and my wife to Split in May without incident.
So had a go on the 2015 S10 with electronic suspension...and you know what....it wasn't half bad. Not as good as the GSA but it did have the compelling feature of actually working. There was a punter there on his S10 which had 45k on the clock in 3 years. No dodgy switchgear...all the paint was still attached no lurch as the thing went into first and the suspension worked...well. All quite compelling sales features in my book....should be in the brochure.
Depending on the outcome with BMW I could well be in the market.
